Therapeutic Modelling (2006 Session)
Modelling gave birth to NLP 30 years ago this year. The offspring is prospering but what's happened to the mother? What if we take seriously Richard Bandler's statement that NLP is 95% information gathering and 5% change work? You may be familiar with modelling as a project, but how much do you use modelling as a therapist, coach or facilitator? To do so requires you to model-in-the-moment. This means gathering information, dynamically updating your model of the client's patterns, deciding on your outcome, and utilising what the client has just said and done, all within a few seconds! The aim of this presentation is to slow down that process so that you have time to enhance your modelling skills as a therapist or coach.
